Lavender Tour through La Alcarria

Surely many times you have dreamed of walking at sunset through fields full of lavender, as you walk the smell reminds you of times before, without rushing, everything seems to be calm, you feel calm. Then everything seems to take on a different meaning, and you don't know why, what has changed, but you feel good.

That which is so far from our daily lives... exists! There are places where everything seems to stop, where you forget your watch and your cell phone. This is La Alcarria, and we wanted this to be our gift. A leisurely walk at sunset through the fields of Huete, one of the most charming towns in La Alcarria Conquense. There we discovered fields full of smell and color, in these countryside known as Spanish Tuscany.

This is our Lavender's Tour in which we enjoy with all five senses, because lavender is not only smelled, but also tasted. And we are not going to ask you to get so excited that we start eating their flowers in the field, but we will meet Mercedes and Maite, they are responsible for the Lavandaña project, the only one that distills lavender to make liqueurs, as they say: 'A perfume for the palate'. They will show us their grandfather's old Cave House, rehabilitated as a Lavender interpretive center. There we will taste their two star products: Lavender Liqueur and Cream, a truly surprising flavor! Which we will accompany with typical Alcarreño sweets and chocolates, the perfect pairing for these liqueurs.
